Vasont 12’s new Preview feature allows you to see your content in a styled view. Once you define the styles, the new Preview tab in the Details pane displays your content in a styled format, making it easier to read. Additionally, you can show the Annotations in the Preview, and they will display as sticky note icons for fast and easy review of users’ notes. You can also add new Annotations quickly to components in the Preview with a simple right-click. Use Preview with Visual Annotations to speed up your editorial time.

Own it and keep your content more secure.
Specific pieces of content within a collection can now be restricted to alterations by its Content Owners. Content Owners are users or groups of users who have permissions to alter chosen pieces of content within a collection while other users can only view this content. Content Ownership provides an additional layer of security for your content, eliminating the need for additional collections solely to restrict access to specific content.

Control it and maintain integrity in your database.
Now you can delegate the administrative responsibilities for Vasont to multiple people. Vasont’s new Associate Administrators are assigned specific responsibilities by the Super Administrator, including the ability to change content setups, update user permissions, or run utilities. Associate Administrators can now share responsibilities with the Super Administrator to keep the system operating efficiently.

Eliminate setup time with Reusable Workflow Projects. Set up your Workflow Projects once in Vasont Administrator, and reuse them in any collection. Keep your processes consistent and save time by reusing Workflow Projects.

Aliases now have the ability to have attributes and valid values associated with them in the Vasont Administrator. Improve efficiency during Vasont setups by defining attributes or valid values once on the Alias. The attributes or valid values will be added to all instances of the component, throughout all collections in the content type where the Alias is defined. Speed up your configuration time by using Alias Attributes or Alias Valid Values.

Review it and collaborate with colleagues more effectively.
Now you can better collaborate virtually with your colleagues to review content using Vasont’s new Review Package. Using Vasont’s Review window, you can markup your content with your text changes, make suggestions for new content blocks, and comment on your content. See other reviewers’ changes and comments simultaneously for quick collaboration. Once the project editor accepts or rejects the changes, the content is automatically updated in Vasont. So, eliminate manual updates and join together with your colleagues using Vasont’s Review Package.

Know it and stay in the loop.
If you want to be informed when things happen, use Vasont’s new Notifications feature. Let Vasont alert you when there is activity with certain workflow tasks, workflow projects, active projects, or variants. Receive your alerts in the new “My Notifications” pane on the Home page and via email. Keep up-to-date on the activities you are most interested in using Notifications.

Track it and meet your publishing deadlines.
Vasont’s Workflow Package now includes Project Management. The new Project Management window allows you to view the overall status of your workflow projects. View multiple projects at one time; view projects for specific users; view projects due within a range of dates; view projects for specific collections – the filter lets you get the appropriate up-to-date project status information when you need it. Or quickly get your projects’ statuses at a glance using the bar chart. Use this new Project Management window to track your overall projects and stay on schedule.

Track your translation projects using the new Translation Package. A Translation Projects window provides due dates, vendors, and status information for each language subproject. Submit your projects for a quote, or send them for translation directly from this window. Vasont provides a word count for each translation project to help you reduce your costs. Integrations with translation vendors can be used with this package for an automated content delivery back and forth from Vasont. Use this translation package to consolidate the status information for all your translation projects in one place so you can keep your projects on schedule and lower your costs.
