Growing software company is
currently searching for an experienced XML Analyst for the
implementation of XML applications in conjunction with a content
management system. Candidate should be fluent with DTD’s
and XML schemas. Some experience in Publishing XML and experience
in writing formats or stylesheets is required. Experience
using DITA (Darwin Information Type Architecture) with XML
content is highly desirable. Familiarity working with content
management systems is a plus. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills are a must. Ability to consistently maintain
cooperation and tact required.
Required:
• Five or more years experience as an XML analyst
• Experience working with XML content and the ability
to read/write an XML DTD or schema
• Experience using DITA (Darwin Information Type Architecture)

• Experience in publishing XML and experience in writing
some type of formats or stylesheets
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Worked with an XML editor or publishing tool such
as XMetaL, Oxygen, Arbortext Editor, Xopus, FrameMaker, or

• Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, organizational,
project management and communication skills
• Willing to travel

Progressive Information Technologies is looking for an experienced
Publishing Services Sales Representative. The selected individual
will be selling publishing services (project management, composition/prepress,
art, editorial, design, and media services) to educational
publishers, association and society publishers, government
and general industry organizations. Successful candidates
must be highly motivated and able to sell to senior level
decision makers. Compensation for this position is directly
commensurate with sales success. Relocation may not be necessary;
however, travel is required.
The Applications Engineer is part of the Software Sales Group
and responsible for providing sales representatives, customers,
prospects and partners with technical product advice, preparing
RFI/RFP Response and Proposals, and effectively delivering
Software Demonstrations to potential and existing clients.
The Applications Engineer will answer questions and educate
prospects and partners on technical matters including software
features, specifications and integration with other systems
and tools. The Applications Engineer will be involved in the
sales process from developing through closing business as
well as completing product installations by working with the
Programming team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Sales representatives to coordinate all activities
related to technical sales support for potential customers
and existing accounts.
Work directly with prospects to help them understand the technical
aspects of software capabilities and develop configuration
and usage scenarios.
Work with Sales to design and perform detailed customized
product demos and prototypes. Conduct needs assessments prior
to each technical product sales presentation, in order to
help qualify the opportunity and to focus on the particular
prospect's requirements. Works with Sales & Programming
to provide initial solution requirements and configuration
summary.
Work with sales team to develop and provide technical descriptions
and content responses to RFI's and RFP's for prospects and
customers. Work with Programming to provide project concepts
and project proposals to solve customer needs and requests.
Work with Programming to develop technical information that
requires specialized expertise
Insure highest possible customer satisfaction by acting as
the voice for the customer in monitoring any customer issues
arising during the installation process or post installation
use of Vasont.
Secondary Duties:
Work closely with Programming and Marketing, in providing
feedback on potential product enhancements and competitive
direction. Secondary lead for sales coverage –fills
in for sales representatives when necessary. Works with Marketing
to support Trade Shows and Seminars and support partner activity.
Provides product feedback to Marketing and Programming. Other
duties that may be assigned.
Travel is required (mostly in the US and Canada).
This position requires an experienced individual to
direct and oversee the preparation, setup, and installation
of the Vasont Content Management System at client locations.
A background in XML, data analysis, project management and
training is required. The person will also supervise XML analysts
who will assist this position in the setup and the data analysis
issues for new and expanding Vasont installations. Experience
with managing content management installations is a plus.
Training experience is also required, since part of the installation
process will involve assessing and providing appropriate training,
such as XML training. No previous experience with the Vasont
system is required. Training on the specifics of the Vasont
system will be provided to the successful candidate. Travel
is required (mostly in the US and Canada).
Excellent full-time opportunity for a software developer with
at least five years of experience. This position requires
extensive Powerbuilder development skills. Optional desired
skills include Oracle database development, Java, .Net, and
C++. XML skills are a plus. Must possess exceptional verbal
and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal
